Celebrations, dedications and groundbreaking

This July, Habitat for Humanity of Flathead Valley celebrated home dedications in Lakeside and Columbia Falls, and broke ground on a new affordable community in Somers.

Four partner families are ready to move into their new, affordable homes after building sweat equity, taking financial education courses, and saving up for a down payment.
Home dedications are a time at the end of the build cycle when Habitat can also celebrate the generous donors that provided vital funds, materials, services, and the volunteers who have worked tirelessly.

As with all HFHFV projects, construction costs are reduced by mobilizing community volunteers and resources. Through community outreach and development, the Lakeside Affordable Home Project worked with hundreds of individuals and groups… Schools, businesses, services organizations, faith-based groups, families who want to serve and work together, combined with our local building industry to create intentional, transformational results… And we are excited to move on to the Somers community.
