NEW HOMEOWNERSHIP
With the support of community partners, donors, and volunteers, Habitat Flathead constructs new homes alongside Habitat Partner Families.Habitat for Humanity of Flathead Valley builds homes in partnership with qualifying partner families and the community. We then sell the homes with affordable, 30-year fixed rate mortgages to partnering families and equip families with the knowledge and tools to be successful, long-term homeowners.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
With the support of community partners, donors, and volunteers, Habitat Flathead constructs new homes alongside Habitat Partner Families. Our homeownership program is designed to assist low-income first-time hardworking homebuyers achieve the strength and stability of homeownership. Habitat homes are sold to partner families at no profit. In addition to a down payment and monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest sweat equity hours building their future Habitat home and the homes of other Habitat Partner Families. The pre-approval selection of homeowners who will purchase houses from Habitat for Humanity of Flathead Valley is done by the Family Selection Committee in a way that does not discriminate because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, sexual orientation, age, gender identity or national origin.WHAT WILL
