What is Habitat for Humanity ReStore?
The Kalispell ReStore accepts new and used building materials, furniture, appliances and home goods from individuals, retailers, businesses, and contractors. These good quality items are sold to the general public at a fraction of retail prices, with all proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity.
What does a Habitat for Humanity ReStore sell?
Similar to other department stores, the Kalispell ReStore offers a variety of items ranging from furniture, appliances, home furnishings, construction material, tools, and much more. Every day is a new adventure at the Kalispell ReStore. We get exciting new items each day.
Are there items the ReStore will not accept?
Unfortunately, there are some items the Kalispell ReStore cannot accept. We cannot accept:
- Clothing
- Mattresses and box springs
- Guns, ammunition, other weapons
- Infant/toddler items, such as cribs, strollers, car seats, etc.
- Playground equipment
- Bicycle or motorcycle helmets
- Tube televisions
- Unframed glass or mirrors
- Window treatments
- Tires
- Chemicals, paint, stain
- Dishwashers older than 5 years
- Gas or propane appliances
- Other items dependent on current inventory or item condition
Some Items may be refused depending on condition or quality.
Do you offer furniture donation pickup? What about appliances?
Yes. We offer pick-up of large items. Donation pick up times schedule out fast. We are often 2-4 weeks wait time for pick up. If you can bring your items to the Kalispell ReStore, it is very helpful to our staff and our volunteers.
How do Habitat ReStores help the environment?
One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. The Kalispell ReStore takes in gently used items and offers them for sale to the public. This reduces the number of items going the landfill. Many of our customers repurpose items in amazing ways. Recycle, Reuse, ReStore!
Are Habitat ReStores open to the public?
YES! The Kalispell ReStore is open to the public for donation and sale. We are open Wednesday through Saturday 10AM-5PM. All the revenue that we generate helps accomplish our mission of affordable housing. Every $100 is one square foot of a safe home for a family.
How can I support Habitat ReStore?
In all kinds of ways! When you shop or donate at the Kalispell ReStore, you are automatically supporting not only your local store, but also your community. Additionally, we are always looking for volunteers. Volunteer duties can range from donation processing, merchandising, general cleaning, cashiering, customer service, and administrative work. Just like the inventory of the Kalispell ReStore is different, so are the volunteer needs.
How often does the ReStore get new materials?
We receive new donations EVERY DAY we are open. Check in often on our website or stop in at the ReStore 2535 Hwy 93 S. Kalispell MT 59901.
How do I donate?
You can bring donations that are in good condition to the Kalispell ReStore during operating hours. If your items are larger than you can bring in, call the Kalispell ReStore at 406.752.2905 to schedule a pickup time. Pickup times are usually scheduling out 2-4 weeks.
Do I get a tax receipt for donating?
Yes! Donations made to the Kalispell ReStore are 100% tax deductible. We will give you an itemized receipt of your donation. The estimated value of your donation is determined by you and/or your tax specialist.
