MODULE 3: Identifing local and community resources, and becoming an active person in the community.

Outcome 3. Homeowner(s) can identify and locate different local and community resources, and becomes an active person in the community.

• Homeowner(s) can orient him/herself in neighborhood.

• Homeowner(s) can find relavant community resources.

• Homeowner(s) gets a library card.

Mentor and Homebuyer(s):

Review directory of local resources and which may be relevant to the Homeowner(s).
Drive around new neighborhood together, or shows on map, where community resources are, e.g. library, schools, parks, bike paths, food bank, etc.

Mentor asks questions to confirm understanding.
